Wikipedia says the calabash can be dried and decorated / carved, but does your model rather depict a metallic vessel made in the shape of a calabash? Either way, the scene is lifelike.

Of course this is not a natural calabash. If you go deeper reading about Wu Lou, you'll find that this object can be made of wood, metal, plastic, crystal, in order to be comercially sold as a lucky charm. Thanks for your comment.
