Description
Here is the quick start video for the IBl scene.
A complete pack with 5 blender scenes, each with their own unique ligitng setup. Each scene is meant to simulate a real studio setup, and give you the best looking results.
Disclaimer: The IBL Studio Scene includes a node setup in the world panel. The setup is not my original idea, it was created with the help of an addon called SIBL for blender. Which you can find here:

thank you, very handy
It was a pleasure creating it:)
Dude this is awesome! Thanks so much! Should be Staff Picks!
I appreciate it, and hope it does get picked!
Added to Staff Picks.
Wow, really appreciate it!
Very nice, thank you. For the IBL scene, it looks like the needed textures from an IBL pack are the Env.hdr and the Bg.jpg ?
They work best, but any image could work. I would suggest using the ones at the hdrlabs.com/sibl archives though.
Well, your node setup was not completely obvious. There are usually 5 images in an IBL pack - Bg.jpg, Env.hdr, Prev.jpg, Ref.hdr, Thumb.jpg. The Bg.jpg seemed obvious, for the other one I used Env.hdr although maybe Ref.hdr was intended? One is very high-res and the other low-res (for reflections, I believe). [Still not totally on top of IBL, despite great stuff from Ben Simonds and others]
Since I could not include anything else but the blend files, the quick start video is not available here. In it I explained how to use images to light your scene. But if you look at the node setup you can see that there are two frames. Explaining one is for the light, and another for the background. If you would like the quick start video, which you can see here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yYdIqNUaxNk Also would like to note, that the node setup for the IBL scene is not mine. I got the idea of the nodes from an addon. The official addon is here: http://wiki.blender.org/index.php/Extensions:2.6/Py/Scripts/Import-Export/sIBL_GUI
Thanks much for sharing it.. It would help if there is a quick start guide with the new Blender 2.7. The link you provided ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yYdIqNUaxNk) is not working.. Can you please provide a new link. Appreciate it!!
gracias, thanks for this files is amazing
Thank you!
one question, the second image is HDRI???
If you want. The second slot is for background and/or reflections. So by putting a .hdr in the second one, you will be getting blrry reflections. While if you were t put a normal image that isn't blurred, then you would get clear sharp reflections. It is all a matter of personal preference, and what object you have in your scene. TL;DR - You can put any image in the second slot, just depends the look you are going for.
Great job! Now my cars renders look amazing! Thanks
Glad you have found a use for it. Would love to see the results if you decide to post them.

Wow, thank you very much, they are great ! I tend to skip the environment part when I'm modelling, but it makes a huge difference when rendering images, be it in the quantity of details shown or just the overall beauty of the work.
Hi! Thank you! i always use it The renders with alpha channel doesn't work with these blend files. I tried with other set up for the same object with alpha material and it worked. Do you know where it come from?
thank you
