It looks like the artist forgot to pack his image textures into the file. The Displace modifier is missing its texture (which is what's warping the mesh) and all of the materials are purple, which means missing texture data. There is no way for you to load it correctly until he fixes that and re-uploads the file. File>External Data>Pack into .blend file, then re-save Vecryz. The file will probably become extremely large though, depending on how big those image files were to begin with. It would be best to create a version of this that only has the T rex and his armature, without all the environment objects in the other layers.
