Description
This is a pocket watch that I did in cycles. It does not contain the textures that I used to produce the image but they can be found on CGtextures. That being said I think it still looks great even without them. (lol...if I do say so myself, wow that as pretty vane.) The hands have a pivot point that makes it possible to turn them on the z axis to set the time. The same with the lid, it can be closed along the x axis. It's not rigged but as long as you keep the proper axis then it works pretty well. Happy blending!!!

I tried a watch once, didn't even come close to the amount of detail you put in, amazing job on all of the gears.
Thanks. I was going to make it into a Steam Punk type pocket watch but as I designed it I decided against that. I liked how it looked so I didn't change it. The gears are based on a picture I found on line but I changed the layout so that it looked unique. I added a couple of little details that you really can't see unless you get closer...was inspired to do that by the little boat you put in the mountain scene...lol

not sure why but it doesn't load, it crashes blender.
Not sure why it's doing that for you. I just downloaded to make sure that it worked and it was fine for me. Check your blender download. I have had issues in the past with blender crashing unexpectedly and I re-installed, worked fine for me after that. If that doesn't work not sure why it's not opening for you.

Very nice, didn't crash 2.69 but I did have to switch from GPU to CPU rendering.
