Jade Buddha (golden)

Description

This is Jade Buddha statue modeled and rendred in blender 2.70.

Note : When you hit the render button, blender might crash and if it does try turning performance options off (like "save buffers") and lastly you'll find the background in another scene:)

Did some edits, might not crash now.

Great work - but unfortunately Blender doesn't work any more on my machine when the rendering of the buddha is finished so that there is no background?! Is there any body else with this phenomenon?

My machine behaves even worse. Yes, there seems there isn't background (Only black). I can see the rendered image in the preview mode but when rendering Blender says goodbye. I'm still looking into the blend.

Thanks elvetos, the background is another scene in the blend file, if you look at render layer compositor you'll notice I have used alfa over to make renders from both scenes one image. In the second scene, the one with background, will have a circular light source while the main scene with statue will have a rectangle light source, this difference is important to create the effect or say to let eyes draw on Buddha statue only. Hope I helped. I have no clue if it's my blend file making your machine behave bad...

I did not get the back ground in the render, I selected it in the Scene , then selected Scene.001 as background. Then it rendered fine, and no crashing from the blend for me. Thanks again! :)

I had the crashed Blender too. Blender crashes after rendering the first scene (the scene with the buddha). But if I switch of the "Save Buffers" and "Cache Render" option in the Render-Settings - Performance in the scene "Scene.001" (that is the background scene) then it renders both scenes. With greetings.
