Description
Hi !!
I did this base mesh for a couple of personal projects (and also for retopo practice) and got the feeling that to someone could be usefull too so im dropping it here :D
The model have 3308 faces where the hands and face have the higher density ratio, however i must warn you, there are two triangles there, one in the ear and one near the palm, sorry but couldn't get rid of them.
Hopefully this model it's good enough so you can make good use of it, have fun.
Cheers,
Joshua

awsome :D and thanks for CC-0 can someone please explain me what is wrong in having a triangle ?! .... 1 square = 2 triangles ... cant i model with triangles ?! i always thought people use squares cause its easier to build with ... and they dont care the poly count
Modelling with 'squares' (or 4 vertices/quads) serves two purposes, one of which you've mentioned; it's easier to build and maintain in quads (and the computer will automatically turn quads to triangles during rendering), so it's much easier to build models in quads and it allows you a *ton* of control if you manage to get used to them. It also allows for good topology and edge-flowing. A mesh full of triangles generally don't have good edge-flows and makes animation and mesh editing a lot harder. The other reason is that because computers operate in a base 2 mathematics (1 and 0 to the layman), it keeps your subdivisions clean when you want to increase them either via multires or subsurf. It's therefore usually encouraged that you use triangles sparingly rather than as the norm (preferably hidden away where they're not noticed). The same goes with nGons.
Dear Uploader, you are awesome! Thanks for the base.
Wow thanks , looks nice.
Very nice model, I play with it some...
it is very good for tests & learning, Thank's JoshuaS.
Thank you this was very useful!
Awesome :D would help my learning curve greatly..thank you for making this free :D
I downloaded this base mesh as a help to learn how to make clothing and details, don't worry, the base mesh is cool and helpful. I was just wondering if there was a way to make it possible for me to alter it, and also how I can smooth out the edges.
great prop thanks bro
Thanks, it's help newbie on model practice
Thanks so much JoshuaS, awesome stuff. Cheers
Great Job!
Great!!!. Thansk JoshuaS
So Can I edit this model? (I will be editing it HEAVILY and it'll probably look completely different considering I have to add weight to her)
For some reason my computer will not let me use this file.
thx Joshua !!!!!
Great
Thank you for preparing this for free.. Im going to learn this
Doesent seem to work in blender 2.8 …. ? .. "noob"
Awesome, thank you so much, this helped me a lot
It's working for me in 2.8 (actually 2.81a). Keep in mind it's just a mesh with no camera, lights, etc. until you add them.
this mesh is amazing, i always use it for anime practice..thanks
Good
Estou fazendo animações 2D e esse modelo vai ser muito útil pra referência, MUITO BOM!
Tanks Joshua for making this CC0 :)
Excelent...
