Description

This is a model of a sandstone boulder from my backyard made using Agisoft Photoscan. Use it any way you see fit, but please let me know if you find it useful. Enjoy!

Question, can you make a 3d model of a person using PhotoScan with only front and side photos?

I doubt it would work with only two photos. PhotoScan works better with photos with lots of overlap. Many photos taken from all around the object. To do a live person, you would need some sort of multi-camera rig so that you could take all those photos at the same time. People move too much to get really good results taking one photo at a time. That's why rocks are so nice! If you are really interested in scanning a person, there are examples of scanning rigs that have been built to do the job. Just Google. I think there are some examples on the PhotoScan website. Good luck, and have fun.

No, with two images photogrammetry softwares are not able to align. You can try with around 100 photos, on someone laying very steady, isn´t going to be the best model because even breathing gives noise, but you could use it as a reference.
