This is a model I did of a Fender Telecaster. No plugins except BoltFactory for the screws at the bridge were used. All other parts were modeled by hand. Even the texture on the body was painted by hand by me. File includes image used as reference. This model was done in Blender 2.73a in cycles renderer. The top three strings have a texture added to simulate the wire winding around them. It's cheesy, but it takes less of a hit on performance than actually winding a wire around it.
