Ash Tray

Description

An Ash Tray.
first preview image is at 3 subsurf levels the fourth on is at 0. it holds it's shape fairly well throughout different subdivision levels so you may be able to use that as something of a poor man's level of detail setting.

i don't smoke (or think anyone else should) but i noticed earlier there's only 1 ash tray on the site (that i found)... so here's this based on some ashtray or another that i remember seeing at some point in my life.

the hdr background i used in the previews is cc-by-nc-sa from [hdr labs sibl archive](http://www.hdrlabs.com/sibl/archive.html) it's called topanga forest b
i haven't included it because it seems a little crazy to pack that into the blend when it's about 18 times the file size of the ash tray alone. 19 to 20mb for an ash tray seems a little excessive. but having something like that for the preview background better shows the material than something like a simple studio setup.

it's 354 faces without any subdivision levels and there are two n-gons in the top and bottom floors of the tray. they shouldn't be a problem since this isn't something that's likely to be deformed in any way while animating.

Was this inspired by the recent "question" that was asked?

@BlenderUnknown yea. i didn't think their model itself looked too awfully different than what i'd make without any subsuf so i thought i'd give it a try. also did a search and saw that there was only one ash tray on here so i put it up here in case anyone wanted something different from it.
