Strange - not had any problem with downloading before - not to worry ... File not found Firefox can't find the file at http://www.blendswap.com/downloads/serve/5623904/82792/82792_Hans_J._Wegner__CH24__Wishbone_Chair.zip.

I wish I knew why … Really, I can't imagine what was going wrong.

Interesting: The download works, but if I copy the download link and paste it into the URL bar of Firefox, I get the same message as scottbroad.

Thank you! I actually had in mind to model some more of Wegner's great chair designs for practice from time to time and post it here. But then I realized yesterday that there are already perfect 3D models for almost all of his chairs available at the manufacturer's website: www.carlhansen.com. (I think it's just fair to point that out) The wishbone chair model from Carl Hansen is of course more accurate than my work, especially in the seating surface, although it doesn't feature physically modelled strings. However, if you like my model, I could send you a dropbox link.

I really like the wood texture... look like you did a great job on UV mapping to me !!!

Thank you! Actually it's almost no advanced UV mapping at all. Because I used a procedural texture, I could just "project from view", adjust the UV size a bit and let the texture do the rest. Procedural textures won't blur into pixels like images, that's what I like most about them! :-)

Ohhh... so it's a procedural texture ! I will try that next time I work with wooden objects !
