Description
For those who aren't hardcore Trek geeks, The Enterprise-B was a modified Excelsior-class starship from the end of the "TOS" era. It was seen briefly in the film "Star Trek: Generations" and also showed up as the "U.S.S. Lakota" in an episode of DS9.
The file is broken down as follows:
- Layer 1: Main Model
- Layer 2: Lights and Illuminated Parts
- Layer 3: Basic Lighting Setup
Couple of quick notes:
1.) All textures are packed and must be unpacked before use. To do this, go to File -> External Data -> Unpack...
2.) All decals were created by me. They are "Fan Art" for sure, but they aren't stolen :)
3.) The warp nacelles have interior lighting along the side "vents". This is not accurate (for this version of the Enterprise, anyway). It's just something I made up :) The lighting comes from a separate object that you can easily delete if you're trying to match the studio model.
4.) I left the windows as a glass material. You can easily swap it out for an emission shader if you want (or if you want to go nuts, you can build some little sets with interior lighting).
5.) I'm releasing this as CC-BY-NC. That's a lot of letters :) I'm honestly not concerned if you use this and forget to (or can't) credit me. But since the rights are owned by CBS/Paramount, I didn't feel I could release it any other way.
Enjoy!

Amazing Chris! Thanks for sharing! You are too generous. Art
As always: incredible! Thank you
Nice but what about the background ? I was really interested to see how did you manage to create that space view but I guess it was just a background photo... Or am I missing something ?
Oh, yeah that was just an example of what you could do with it. Just a basic cloud texture and gradient flare in GIMP plus some screwing around with lights/contrast. The green "nebula" was me taking a paintbrush tool and randomly swiping across the screen a few times :)
I am going to make a animation with some of your ships. Don't wory. I will credit you!
This is awesome! Excellent work.
