This is a simple animation using a lattice to add a twist effect to the pumpkin. The animated eyes and mouth are controlled by the key framed object on layer 2 and can be swapped out.

I also added smoke to this model but unfortunately I could not get it to animate correctly. I've included an image to give you an idea if you would like to animate it with this effect.
