2D Tiles

Description

Blender is a wonderful tool for resource generation for other platforms, such as 2D game engines. In this .blend file I've arranged everything in a format which should lend itself well to creating tile sets for 2D games with a 3D CG look.

Key features:

*Alpha is saved to the .png output. (For color-keyed "faked" alpha, fiddle with the background and the anti-aliasing settings)

*Orthographic camera points head-on, ignoring perspective. This is vital to get good tiles.

*32x32 pixel tile setup. Exercise some care and you can set up bigger tile sets-- scale up the viewport and lay down cubes.
