When I open this up and hit render it's just black. I tried opening in 2.56, same thing. I thought maybe it was just the smoke so I deleted all the particles and physics off the ball but still black. What am I missing? :/

those kind of fires ( there are many examples in blender artist forum ) just don't work. I guess it's too beautifull to give the wisdom away to all people :P too bad though i wish it works !

OK, my bad. seems those kind of blends gives no result without baking prior to F12.... takes kinda hundred years ! i think i'll have to buy a new computer :(

i think i could alter this a little to give a re-entry effect. looks great from the preview here, is it internal though or cycles?
