Description

What can I say? A simple Chinese fighter jet (sort of near-future, I guess; based on the Shenyang series) for my upcoming film. A whole squadron of them gets blown up at the beginning, so I figured I'd post it here and let someone else get some use out of them.

The model is rigged; all flight surfaces are separate and everything is attached to an armature. The model is fairly lavishly textured, with four separate sets of 2048x2048 textures (bump maps, dirt maps, and diffuse maps). Note that it doesn't have a cockpit or pilot, as they'd just take too long to render.

Note: The text isn't really Chinese; the warning labels say "Sexy" in a wingding font.

Maybe. It's Chinese, so it's not too stupid to assume it's a knockoff of someone else's design...

J-11B. Originally a licensed Su-27SK (I think), but then the Chinese decided to rip up the license because they 'had different requirements' and start producing this copycat plane

I modeled this off a Shenyang-6 fighter. It's probably a knockoff or derivative of the Flanker.

Well, in my opinion, the USAF will just open up a can of whoop-ass regardless of what plane they face.

Are the particle effects automatically animated? If not how would I animate them?

This plane is the Shenyang J-11B. This aircraft was a licensed Su-27 from the Russians, but then the Chinese cancelled the license, citing that 'they had different requirements' and started producing a copycat plane.
