Not bad at all! It looks a bit like its missing the firing pin (correct term?). Very good model overall, I'm impressed!

You've got my first 5-stars vote! This is probably the best blendermade handgun i've ever seen and i'm impressed of the level of detail! Keep on moddeling such amaizing blends ;) best Greetings, Richy

FMI, what would someone use this for? Don't get me wrong; it's a nice model... I just don't get the use for a high-poly handgun like this. :?

thanks for your comments! :D @ThomasBates: I dont know what you mean when you say firing pin!? (for me its "Schlagbolzen" in german, and its on the inside, and i dont modelled the inner surface). maybe you mean something else? @Hjmediastudios: You are absolutly right. The modelling was training for me, and maybe someone find a way to implement it, or maybe no one will ever find a way to use it in any way. ;)

Well, it's pretty good for training. Ah well... there's always a use for something... :)

I probably used the wrong term, and I'm actually mistaken. When I was looking up reference images to compare the model to, I grabbed the wrong gun. The whole in the back is correct, my mistake :)

Good model, but I see you "cheated" in a few spots(grooves on the top, bumps on the handle). would love to see some textures on this. It seems that everyone is scared of texturing on this site(for hi poly gun models anyway). I might just texture them all myself and post them in one huge blendfile for all to enjoy.

What do you mean he "cheated?"

Sounds like a great idea Mr.Chippy.

@Mr.Chippy: your're right! as i said: it is my first weapon model EVER made in any 3d visualisation program, and its my first model with such a level of detail, so of course i came up to some problems where i have to find some workarounds, because i didn't knew better at that time (and in some cases yet) ... (and that's the reason why i didn't textured it!) --> the model isn't perfect --> you are all urge to improve it :D and i love to see some use of my model, please let me know. thx for the lively discussion! rooster

I know this is your first model. That doesn't change my critique at all. You should view it as constructive criticism, and you should challenge yourself to try and fix what I have pointed out, it will help you in your learning. And as any person new to any 3d program making Highpoly models, you have to realize that subsurf is a friend, not a lover, so stop trying to make babies with it(if that analogy makes sense). Your models should look good without the subsurf.

Its not 1:1 scale right? Tried exporting it to STL for solidworks import to 3D print it.. but it came out to big/small. But its a nice looking and quite high quality model!
