Description
This is an *extremely* high-quality "test cube" model, intended for serious use by artists who need to observe the lush interplay of light across their environments via a simplified form. In accordance with this serious purpose, this .blend has a number of premium-quality features:
- Beautifully Textured: Panoramic 4096x4096 textures cover each face; there are absolutely no pixels visible at virtually any magnification level
- Fully rigged: This model is equipped with a 100% *perfect* rig; there are no vertices out of place, the rig makes sense to any user, and an advanced control system enables an artist to control the cube's entire form using only one control bone.
- High-Poly: Over 50k polys ensure a perfect level of detail suitable for high-quality film applications
- Good Lighting: A high-quality setup completes the .blend, enabling gorgeous renders for any purpose
I hope this file comes in handy for the legions of artists sure to use it.

F.Y.I: This is intended to test processor load and act as a benchmark, as well as to test lighting and get a rough idea of the capabilities of different machines. The description is technically accurate, but keep in mind this isn't intended to be a work of art. :)
Not much of a benchmark. Rendered in 2 seconds. My average workflow has more polys, and collectively higher ress textures than this. This is pretty useless.
Not for me. It takes 2min to render on my ancient machine.
Master Orz.
Rendered in 1.82 seconds on my machine. SPEED COMPETITION GO! lol
Rendered in 5.96 sec, think I need a new machine.
7,77 sec here :(
1.02 seconds on my new computer. Yay!
Wow at Hjmediastudios - what are you running? I'm on an i7 2600k @ 4.4 ghz, 8bg ddr3 ram @1600mhz. But you've nearly halved my time. hahaha
I'm running an overclocked i7 6-core processor (3.4 GHz per core) with 16 GB DDR3 RAM (1600 MHz).
2.8 second render i7-2600 @ 3.40GHz, 64Bit Win7, 16.0 GB Ram
sorry that was 2.38 seconds. with NVIDIA Quadro 600.
3.07 in my i7 machine!
33.2 sec on mine :( slowest yet.
Ya know, this MIGHT be a regular cube.....
1.96 seconds on a laptop!!
2020 -> 0.32 seconds on a intel i9 / nvidia geforce 1070 Maybe you should update this great benchmark scene also for cycles. I tested it, but the result was noisy.
