Train in winter mountains

Description

Hi everybody! The 6th month of my Blender training is coming to an end. And I decided to fix it with something serious, large and completely mine. I wanted to implement everything I learned. The result is in front of you. I am very glad! I'm still not working with light well... but I tried to make it as realistic as possible. 40 hours from idea to implementation It is important for me to get the opinion of knowledgeable people, even if it is not the most positive)

The train itself is fully optimized. The high-poly model was baked onto the low-poly model via SP. Textures are all loaded into the project. If someone wants to use my train in their work - I will only be happy)

Hello! due to Blendswap upload restrictions (to size), I uploaded the LITE version of the project. The full version, with all the effects as in the preview, can be downloaded from the link - https://drive.google.com/file/d/16997s2_znE5GBSH2Pc-gvcPL8O8pZEdx/view?usp=sharing

Hey Centurion, since you asked for some critique : First of all really nice work and i can see the effort you put in. I Really like your composition for the final render, you guide the eye nice through the image, slowly to the right, well done! I think you could work a little bit more on the details of your train, it has some large areas, where there is repetition in your textures, maybe you could add dirt or usage marks on some edges or a welding point (Try to think of a story in your objects, What could have happened to it through time) Ian Hubric has some nice videos for world building storytelling on this. Second of i think your color palette could be a little bit more dim (not too saturated colors) The grey metall on the wheels is popping out too much for me i think, aswell as the red Thatsit thats where i think you could approach it new :) But awesome work especially for that time keep it up Cheers DaveDavilion

Thanks for the feedback! I appreciate your comment. Regarding the repetition of textures on the train - I knew about it, but I was too lazy to fix it :D Yes, and I'm still studying the SP and not all points are completely clear... But there is room to grow :)

hi, thank you for taking the time to upload the link again, sadly, you need access. This would really be awesome though. I have been searching for a train model that looks realistic, because I myself make scenes and I had this great idea of a train in the clouds. Which if this scene is fully loaded would have almost everything I need to make it. Anyway, Just wanted to say thank you for sharing!
