Description
This is a Geometry Node setup for ocean waves that I got from a youtube tutorial.
I've taken the extra step of exposing the pertinent settings in the modifier. This will allow you to easily customize the look of the waves or just play around with it.
A basic ocean shader is attached.
Works with either Cycles or Eevee

This is a really handy setup, thanks for sharing! Exposing the key settings in the modifier is a great touch; it makes tweaking the waves so much easier without diving back into the node tree every time. The included ocean shader is also a nice bonus. I can see this being super useful for both realistic ocean scenes and stylized animations.
new to blender, how do i make the animation of it?
This setup looks really handy, especially with the key controls exposed in the modifier. Being able to adjust the wave behavior directly makes it much easier to experiment and get different ocean looks without digging through the node tree. The fact that it works in both Cycles and Eevee is a nice bonus, and pairing it with a simple ocean shader gives a solid starting point for more advanced materials.
Really well done! I love that the key wave settings are exposed in the modifier it makes experimenting with different wave shapes so much faster. The included ocean shader is a great starting point, and the fact that it works in both Cycles and Eevee adds a lot of versatility. Perfect for anyone looking to create realistic or stylized ocean scenes in Blender.
