Description
Here are my rocks from Andrew Price's Nature Academy. I have changed the background image to a different one than in the tutorial. Believe it or not, I did no compositing!
Enjoy! This was probably a lot easier than the grass. I know it's a little bit bare, but I didn't know how to add water pouring over the rocks (like at the beach), which I wanted to do. If anyone can do that, let me know in the comments.

I don't think you followed the tutorial *exactly* ;) The rock geometry could use some work. Maybe you forgot to turn on the displace modifier or you missed a setting.
Dansafee, I followed his tutorial almost exactly except for adding a few more size variations. Maybe at the end of the course I can improve it! By the way, I looked at your blends and they are INCREDIBLE! It's amazing how almost all of them have high ratings, 4 or above.
Hi, I'm a newbie and I'd like to know how to apply this rock texture to another object I've created. Is there something similar to copy and paste attributes, or what's the best way to achieve it? Please help
nice job
Great looking rocks, thank you! Have to mention though, you have used Level 6 Subsurfing. If you're using more than level 2, there is likely something you're doing wrong. Usually, and this is a good example, the cost in additional geometry at render time is not worth the tiny visual difference. Your rocks still look great at level 2, but my computer doesn't get slammed just rendering some rocks. Just saying... Peace!
