very nice. whats the trick behind the spiky hairs inside the deform cage?
Hi DennisH2010, i would like use your model into an open source remake of dungeon keeper called "Open Dungeons"; but for that i need all animations being Nla tracks, and i can only find (and turn into Nla) "attack"; i guess all the others are handled by some kind of sorcery by the blender game engine. Its possible to turn them into Nla as well? Thanks for the model.
Hi Danimal, Nice you decide to use my spider for your open source remake :) I'm not really familiar with NLa and I did not know that NLa works in the Blender Game Engine. Why not just use Actions for the animations? Wish you much success with your game Project :)
thanks for answering Dennis; Actually, actions are converted to Nla tracks with just one click, but i can just find "attack", how are the other ones stored? were they animated individually? if they are hidden somewhere maybe i can extract and use them, but so far im unable to find it. Looking a bit more into it the armature only contains "attack" where are the other animations?
http://3dartdh.wordpress.com/?attachment_id=2609 The other animations are saved in the Action Editor. Into the Action Editor, click on the browse action button to choose an action, but before you do that select the armature of the spider and go into the Pose Mode.
Thanks a lot! ill try to work my way from there
Great!! Thanks a lot!!
thanks looks nice will be good fun to play with
Awesome, looks and works great BUT (and there is always a big butt) spiders usually don't flip over when they die, that is an insect thing. Spiders typically fold their legs under themselves and sit down. When a ground spider is on its back, it is usually molting/shedding its skin.
Awesome Stuff Dennis, But i don't know how to start the engine it self. i can only start the animation.
It's really well done. One thing though, how do you change the camera settings so that stuff isn't severely warped when its far away?
How did you make it so that the spider sticks to the terrain at all times?
