I was looking forward to this one, but it's full or triangle polys, and no subsurfs obviously - very heavy, even if detailed. The time it'd take to optimise for blender it would probably be the time it'd take to make it from scratch sadly. oh well :(
Very nice topic for a model. Looks good, with all these exterior and interior details. Unfortunately, is also a bit heavy and...
"My God, it's full of triangles!"
[1985: The Time Odyssey (excerpt)]
I am a quite beginner with modeling, so for time being it is not easy for me to completely avoid triangles, but this amount is strange. Generally looks like a conversion from another modeling platform?
But anyway, thanks for such model and very interesting topic (BTTF).
For what it's worth, it looks like this model was triangulated after the fact, a quick Alt-J on the various parts cleans it up pretty good without noticable loss

You can take a ride back to 1985 and start optimizing since back then LOL
If only that time machine worked, it'd save a lot of bother ;)

Looking at your other models, looks like you usually use triangles. This way or another, looks good :)
