Jelcz W640 JS

Description

This is 3D model of polish classic (1975) truck Jelcz W640 JS, produced

by Jelczanskie Zaklady Samochodowe.

Also, This is, as I called it - Virtual paper model. This is a kind of conversion of

paper model released by "Orlik", polish publisher of various papercraft models.

This model in paper version was designed by Bartlomiej Kolek. This Blender

model has no textures, and only basic material added.

Besides of 3D modeling, I am also interested in papercraft and paper models.

My idea was to convert one of models I own (and I plan to glue together in future),

back to 3D, as a modeling excersise. It took me about one month to model all

parts in Blender, and another month to make whole truck look better during rendering.

It is still not as good as I would like to see it, but for time being... good is good enough.

In general, I strongly encourage all of you, 3D modelers, to try papercraft modeling :)

There are many paper model publishers worldwide, also there are thousands of

free printable paper models available to download at many sites in Internet.

Hopefully you'll enjoy this model. Any comments will be appreciated.
