Description
This is a large alien wheel. The interior spins on multiple axis and the wheel will rotate as it is animated (although I believe that feature only works in Blender 2.49). Ian Hubert created this model for Pandora Machine.
This screenshot is from the movie Android Insurrection with the Whirleydoomer in the foreground.

is that a motion tracking blend? i didnt quite understand what this actually is
It's just a model. There's no motion tracking applied. However if you set a start point and an end point of the wheel (using the bone which it's attached to) in an older version of Blender, the wheel will rotate exactly to roll along the ground.

oh and i wanted to ask, the spikes on the wheel, they're all separate, did you use a particle system to place on the wheel and then applied it?
