Red Guardian Sword-Low Poly

Description

Here is a low poly .blend file of a sword that I was using in a short film I am shooting with my son. I needed a CG version of the sword for use during the parts of the film when it was being wielded by a CG character, and decided to share the finished blend here. It is my first upload, so hopefully someone will find it useful in some project (I realize it's not a terribly complex model. The openings on the hilt aren't opened up because they wouldn't have even shown for my purposes at the time. Feel free to open them up if you need to though. Blend on!

Very strange.....I'm assuming that you are using 2.64, since I just tried it on 2.63 and it was fine, then when I updated, it didn't work anymore. I will have to reupload it, thanks for the heads up!

Alright, under further review-it does work under 2.64, but there is a feature/glitch in 2.64 that keeps .blend1 files from appearing in the file browser. You just need to click on the .blend file in whatever window manager you happen to be running, and it will open it fine. Not sure if it's a bug that will get squashed, or if there is something I can do to make it more accessible.

M

Sure, just give me credit for the model somewhere (per the CC license), and you are free to use it wherever you want. What's the game? (Sorry it took me so long to reply, had a password snafu.)

hi again, first of all, i would like to thank you for replying, second:, manny thanks for letting me use this model, i think this is a great one. third of all: to answer your question; i would like to use this in a sword-fighting style game where a first person player picks up weapons to fight misteriouse monsters (im still working on a proper storyline). no.4: appology accepted note: just in case your woundering, im using blender for the modeling pourposes and Unity 3D version 4 point something for the actual game-making (im using a different computer to the one im making the game on) note2: if you know anyone - including yourself if you want - that is good at making a storyline please feel free to e-mail me at "deltatechproductions@rocketmail.com" please. (note2 can also be replied by anyone else who hapens to read this reply) thank you again and sory for this long reply. Kind Regards and happy modeling DeltaTech Productions - Building on Evollutions

Storylines are what I'm best at! www.christophergodsoe.com (Author site), I just play with Blender for fun off and on. I'll see what I can come up with for story notes.

Delta, There was an issue with the original file, or BlendSwap thought there was and removed it. I have reuploaded it to address those concerns, and it should be available momentarily. I apologize for not getting back to you sooner. -Chris
