Black Garden Ant Cycles

Description

Heres a black garden ant setup for render in cycles. Its rigged with a basic walk cycle. In layer 11 you'll find a copy of the model before the mirror modifier was applied in case its needed. In layer 16 you can find the hair strand objects which are used for the hair particle systems. All the texture maps are included in the file. Let me know if you have any questions. Thanks.

you should make a praying mantis!! i would use it in my game. if you could make a walk, attack, and standing animation that would be so awesome! :)

Yah man sounds like fun. What kind of poly count do you need? By standing animation you mean like an idle animation loop? When do you need it by?

Hello, I was curious if this should render right away or if there is something I need to do first? I hit render, but it renders a gray screen. Thank you, Bud.

Yes, it should render right away...you shouldnt need to do anything. Yah, just make sure the cycles render engine is selected instead of the blender engine, that might be why its not rendering since all the materials are setup for cycles...other than that I cant think of any reason why it wouldnt render. Hope that helps..let me know if you have any other questions.

Hey no problem, glad u found the model useful. I found the video on the site, I didn't have any issues with anything. Looks good.
