Description
The original model and texture were made by kp-shadowsquirrel http://kp-shadowsquirrel.deviantart.com I have been given permission to distribute the model as it is.
I'm not too sure about the placement of the bones and whether the model deforms correctly (I'm not all that experienced with rigging at the time that I'm posting this) so I could use whatever input you might have on correcting it. And, if you can figure out how to rig the eyes as they are, please let me know how.
The model has 8234 faces. All of the faces are quads. And, the blend file has a subserf modifier
*edit* The model does not have an IK rig, yet. I will try to add that later.

An amazing model but the rig does create a little bit of an issue, I too am an amateur to rigging so i cannot help you out on that.

Just FYI, you really shouldn't use the original textures in TIF format, they're bloated and it makes the unpacked file to be over 100 MB. Convert them to PNG to make the file size drastically smaller. On top of that, two of the textures (tongue and eyelashes) are unnecessary and can be replaced by simply altering the material colors.
Great rig, though there is a problem with animating back legs, because they have 1 bone less than real horses. However i don't know if that bone can even fit there (I once tried to rig Luna in 3ds Max and I couldn't get that bone to work at all, though that was my first ever rig so most probably it didn't work because of my poor skills) Also ~MissCheerilee's (http://misscheerilee.deviantart.com) rigged rarity has the same issue. Sorry, but I didn't see this comment until now (haven't been on here in a while.) I've been a bit busy learning a few game engines. (Source and UDK) Anyways, thank you for letting me know about the back leg. I think I'll get back to working on this soon. I'm going to see if I can get her into team a source mod I'm working on. So, I need to work on the rig, animations, and facial expressions. Again, thank you.
I am (I hope) going to animate Twi for a "Love me Cheerilee" someday. That, and may I ask you to create a file for my pony, Malt Twist? She uses the "Pinkamena(insane)" model, but she is an Alicorn (I used General Zoi's Pony Creator to determine her gender, height, and Speices) And she is a "Foriegn-Accent pony" because she speaks with a German accent. She is brown (Chocolate brown) and her mane and tail are 9 shades darker. (I cant do much on Blender because of my poor skills.) Sincerly, Pinkie Pie.
