Description

This is a robot I've made in the last few days. I was just playing around. His arms and legs are IK rigged. He's a very simple character and I hope you like it.

Great model and rigging, think it would help if the preview image was better;)

I learned to rig from Nathan Vegdahal's Humane Gigging DVD.

I'm new to BlendSwap. I just downloaded this robot (which is awesome by the way, nice job awesomestudios) but I can't figure out how to use the model/add materials to it/get it out of being a wireframe image and some other issues so I can start animating. Whis buttons do I click in what order?? Please and thank you!

@avetere71092 sounds like you might want to start here: http://cgcookie.com/blender/get-started-with-blender/

thanks for those but i'm not that new. has anyone who downloaded this before had the same problem where it didn't load with all the materials on it? the IK rig is there and working fine, but the camera can't capture the image of the robot because it won't come out of being a wire frame image.

Did not mean to insult just wanted to make sure the basics where covered. How about this: Every model I download is in wireframe mode when I open them? More than likely this is because you are trying to open a 2.63+ file in a pre-bmesh version, try updating the version of Blender that your using and see if that works.

My bad, I didn't take it as an insult if you're wondering, sorry if my response made it seem that way. But thanks. I'll try updating. I last updated in May so I'll try again. Thanks.

Thanks for this awesome model. If you don't mind, I'm using this model in a blog post as an introduction to importing Blender animations into an iPad app called Codea: [animating-a-3d-blender-model-in-codea-part-1](https://puffinturtle.wordpress.com/2015/05/14/animating-a-3d-blender-model-in-codea-part-1/) I've credited you. Thanks again!
