Description
Hey guys,
since a while I'm trying to create characters in a style close to anime. It is quite hard and those of you who have tried it before should know what I mean. This try is my best one so far. I thought I should share it because especially in this field of cg there is almost no english documentation at all... I hope you can learn something from this file. If you have any advices for me please let me know. Also if anyone wants to try to get closer to the perfect image together or if there is something else you want to show me regarding this just send me a mail (dani.kreuter[at]gmail[dot]com) or write me a comment.

Just from the thumbnails, I'd say you're wrong. There is no "right" way to do it. If you can sense that it's anim
We are all proud to be weebs ........SAY "ALL HAIL ANIME".....well i wanted to make anime.....then i tried and thought ......making different images for the same charactrer seems to be cheating ....soo here i am learning blender and tring to make 3D anime(not the curent CGI ones)...............BTW GOOD JOB ..keep up the good word......
WORK*
Very interesting indeed! Your thumbnails looks wonderful and for sure I'm going to study your setup and ideas. A question however: I can't get the same hair color and the animation turns out (a little) too blurred. I'm wondering if it's a problem in my blender build (latest irie 2.63.a+svn50505-0irie1~precise1, that also includes Freestlyle and the planet modifier) or... ?
Thanks a lot for sharing this. The mouth setup is very interesting. I also like the progress on the body on the hidden layer. I think you should build the rest of the body and make some kind of character template out of it.
very cool. thanks for sharing!
Hi, Daniel! Great character! Just can't make hair textures working. I don't know why. I unpacked 'em (after 1st try) and still can't render with it.
Great blend! Currently building an Anime character in C4D, your eyebrow/eyes setup helped me a lot. Thanks!
genial. gracias!
thanks, only a issue with the hair texture, not work in my blender 2.64
Hi Daniel, Posted on BlenderAttitude.com (in the right hand column widget). Thanks for sharing with the Blender Community. Blender Attitude
Could you please have a look with a Blender test build from graphicall? The hair material has a bit of problem. I don't know what is going on. This is amazing!
I use patched version win32 also latest 2.64 build from Graphicall.org. I'll check other versions. It can be some bug with PSD format reading in Blender.
Wow, just amazing results, with this file, can make a little tutorial on how to make it?
Nice work Daniel. How long have you been making Manga/Anime character models?
Cool!
Would you make a tutorial?????
Impressive !! I like this ... im a fan of manga & anime style CG
hey how did u do the eyes like that
ohh es fantastico !!
Amazing work! very very veryyyy beautiful, thank u so much for sharing this. Reminds me a lot Valkyria Chronicles for ps3.
How did you texture the mesh in that manga style? It looks amazing O_o
Amazing work, I agree with Engelus, looks like Valkyria Chronicles minus a post processing effect. I really like the way the eyes were done. Great work,
beadiful
Hi. Thank you for the download. I have a bit of a story to share with you. Couple of years ago, I made up an anime girl in illustrator/flash. I made a flash game with her in it. Then I thought "I should make a 3d game of her" And then I came across Blender and I've found it very hard to use. So I am really hoping your work helps because I've found blender really stressful! I've only done 75% of my characters head and hair and... that's it. I made a Japanese street lamp in blender before but its rather plain. I have tried to use something called 'MikuMikuDance model' but its not compatible with my blender version I have.
Impressive !
this is very good can you do a how to YouTube video.
I learned a lot from this Blend: The way you use shrinkwrap, How to use drivers etc. There is a lot in here : empty partented to the armature, the eyes follow the empty ( and the armature) plust the empties own animation. And the eyers a shrink-wrapped to the face. Then there is a LITTLE! box which is the driver for the eyes their shapekeys. And then there is a nice setup in the compositor ( but not in use). And then the hair have a cloth modifier, but I couldn't find out where they are pinned to. And ofcourse the modelling , texturing etc. All very good. I learned a lot. Thanks !
A tutorial would be great! thanks for the blen & keep up the good work!
very good
Preety awesome:)
Thanks you.good job.

lovely!! thanks!!
can you make tutorial for this character?

Very nice, but has a very Blender Internal feel to it with the textures and all. I would love to see what you could do with the new Cycles versions!
thanks !!!
