Jeepster made a great blend -- Swampler ( [http://www.blendswap.com/blends/animals/swampler/](../animals/swampler/) )
I will be using it for the next scene in my ongoing saga, so I RIGGED this character and migrated the materials to Blender Internal

Hehe, we pretty much converted it as well to internal and reworked the texture and the low poly model as well, might have been re-rigged too. I haven't checked the blend file itself, out of space this week :) Hopefully the license.txt wasn't removed from the blend. Happened before Swampler to be used around and not get any crediting.
Can't wait to see the animation, hopefully my other comment will get approved.
Wow -- yours is better. I didn't mean to step on any toes -- I didn't know about your work or the ancient beast project (except vaguely through the comment on Swampler's original page) -- does it have a blender artist thread or anything? I'd like to know more
