This Minecraft rig is based off of the rig by Mineworks Animations' made in 3DS Max. This rig has a facial rig and moving body parts, so it's ready to animate. Have fun!

Can you change the skin? Or is it stuck as Steve?
you can change the skin.
You would have to redo the uv image applied to every face with the skin you want.
HOW DO YOU MAKE IT HAVE COLOUR?!??!?!?!?!??!?!
split the screen by going to the top right of the viewing screen. then go to the editor type and change that to uv/image editor. then go into image new image and select your texture.

The face is controlled by shape keys. To get to the shape keys pannel select Steve, then look in object data and the shape keys pannel should be in there.

Amazing, I love it! For changing skin, you can just re-UV texture it with your own, right?
Yup. But you will have to make tweaks to the skin if you are going to use one like Xephos' from the Yogscast.
why does it say you cant use this for commercial use? but it also says you can use it if you credit the creator
They are just saying to not use steve to make money off of. Otherwise your fine.
Not trying to sound stupid on purpose but i looked everywhere for the shape keys after selecting steve and then object data.. dont see it at all

i can't find the shape key in the object data.

um the my character has no eye or mouth just holes
try flipping the normals or changing to texture mode otherwise Be more specific.

Absolutely brilliant. The only improvement I think is necessary is adding a hat piece. Other things are not needed but would make things easier. Great work!
Sorry if I say this twice, not sure if it posted the last time. I think the only improvement needed is adding the hat piece. I tried myself and I was successful but it won't render and I don't know why. Keep up the good work!

HELP the rig is wire-frame for me, even if I press z or go into textured/solid mode and if i press the texture solid check it doesn't do anything! When I render, Steve isn't There!! I really need help, I wanted this rig for so long & now i have it, ITS INVISIBLE!
Nevermind, I just had blender 2.57! I needed to Update XD
Okay now i have another problem. I am not a noob at blender, but I don't know lots of it. The face emotions don't set keyframes. Please help! Blender 2.65 never used this version before I jumped on from the 2.57 train.

great simple little rig. love the shape keys as well; I found setting the min value of the 'mouth open/close up' key to -1 led to me having a lot of fun with melodramatic expressions. great blend overall!
