Traditional West African Comb (Twac)

Description

At first I wanted to make a comb, but then it became

a small scene. Imagine a corner in a modest house in a

West African country (see flag).

I started with a cube for the body of

the comb and with a plane for the head that I later bent

at the periphery to the background after having deepened

eyes, nose and mouth.

The body of the great watermelon

of SSIMPOSSIBLE released under CC zero license at

http://www.blendswap.com/blends/view/15886 inspired me

in building my own.

Three textures were made by using Gimp. Four are own

photographs treated also with Gimp. The texture of the melon is

procedural only.

There are 23468 faces. About 44 min is the rendering time on

an older i7 CPU for a 900x1200 picture with 500 samples.

Comments appreciated.

No problem, it was worth it. I don't download that much any ways. Only when I see things that catch my eye. This was one of them. Keep up the great work!
