Clever idea nice one.... really need to learn this rigging
Thank you :) you can assign emptys for Lattice box to control the animation, when you selekt the Lattice object than switch to the edit mode and select some controlepoints and hit crlt H to create an empty, which influences the Lattice box. than you can conect the emptys with some bones of an armature.
Sorry but i dont see that lattice setup in the file. It's just the plain model, correct?
Nevermind, i had the exact same model downloaded but this one wasnt rigged :)
PS im trying to learn some quick rigging... if i understand correct the armature is connected to all the empties in numeric order, but how do you connect those empties to the according layers in the lattice?
The empties controlles the Lattice-objekt and the bons are drive the empties, i have connected the empties which controls the Lattice objekt with the bones of the armature, first select the empty hold shift and select a bone oft the armature ( the armature must be in pose mode) then press crlt p / Set parent to / Bone.
create a Lattice object, select the object and go to the edit mode, than select some verts of the lattice-object and press Ctrl + H, so i cread the emptyes which influence the lattice-object.
I hope that helps
I am just learning armatures and your blend is a great way for me to experiment with something I hope to incorporate into my own architectural renderings also. Thanks for educating the Blender community!
