Your argument is invalid, its the same like copying some art of another artist, it is your work but a copy. The fact that this artist shared his wisdom in a tutorial should make you glad for it so give him credit. Everyone knows from where it is, so it only shows how bad person you are - not good for your clients or employers. When you'll build a portfolio, leave everything tutorialed out of it and only include your own original work, dont even think of claiming it as yours. A friendly advise that will ease you some trouble..
