Olaf

Description

This is just my attempt to recreate Olaf from Disney's Frozen.

And if you want to see him move, watch this: [https://youtu.be/wSTnqaijnvM](https://youtu.be/wSTnqaijnvM)

This is great! I have always wanted to create this.Could you please explain to me how you modeled this?

Thanks! He actually doesn't have an excellent topology but I modeled it the way others do, puttting a photo of the real Olaf beside Blender and try hard to form a cube into Olaf. Obviously, it's not a perfect match. But yeah! I used everything that involves mesh manipulation including Sculpting. :)

I cant find the obvious differences.

B

But the only difference is the size of Olaf's eyeballs.

D
DoodleNotes about 12 years ago

Actually not just the eyeballs but the arms and the buttons too.

I actually did a breakdown video but not in-depth in modeling. I'm sorry. Still have a lot on my hands to actually create an in-depth tutorial video. Hehe. And my current gear won't allow me to record my screen without crashing. :(

D
DoodleNotes over 11 years ago

It's there. Just select some layers to see it. It might be at the 2nd row of layers.

I'm sorry I can't be of any help on this one. I'm a Blender-only dude. hehe. Try asking it as a question on Blendswap. Othres might be able to help you. :)

Try watching this -- http://youtu.be/svEIm-MT5TA It's a video of how I made the model. Not exactly a tutorial but I showed there how I created the model from modeling to rigging to animating it. :)

Was just wondering if you(really anyone) could model me a cartoon Albert Einstein for an upcoming short. I know someone can do it? Message me separately if u got questions. Cycles Render only!

D
DoodleNotes about 11 years ago

If it's just an Albert Einstein model I might be able to help(although it will take a really long time). But I can't do it in Cycles.

You might start with MakeHuman as a base model?

Just wanted to say thanks for this model, I used it to "enhance" some existing photos of my daughter for her "Olaf in Summer" birthday theme...
