7 Preset Compositing Lens Flares

Description

Preset Glares by Josh J.Ever wanted to be just like JJ Abrams or Michael Bay?* Now you can, with 7 preset lensflares. All you need is an object with an emmisive material.(Please don't be like these annoying directors, use lensflares responsibly.)Usage Instructions: I've organized several preset lens glares into node groups, and all you need to do is connect the one you wish to use to the composite nodes. If you want a transparancy background, connect it to "Alpha" on that node, as well.Lens Flares:

  1. Anamorphic Glare Simulation: Simulates glare and ghosting from anamorphic lenses, first by shrinking the image horozontally, adding the glare, and stretching the image out again.
  2. Sun Glare: Looks like a sun in an atmosphere, and color modulates ghosting.
  3. Sun Glare 2: Another version of the Sun Glare node group.
  4. Telescope: If you're looking through a telescope.
  5. Telescope 2: Another version of the telescopic node group.
  6. Low Quality Camera: Simulates a crappy camera. (You know, like the $100 ones you bought for your kids.)
  7. Tri Point Bokeh: Bokeh blur and 3 spires.
Here's a video of the Anamorphic one:

I enjoy CGI as a hobby and started with a program called Imagine. Though their lens flare needed some work, it was a simple option to enable on light sources. I may be mistaken as it's been a while. Anyway, I've always wanted to learn how to do this in Blender, thank you!
