Description
This is my first upload here. I was watching The Hobbit and was struck by the beauty of the horses. I immediately grabbed my laptop and started sculpting.
I am still fairly new to blender but I think it came out as best as I could hope for. This model is great for mid to background assets, the texture is not big enough for near camera close up.
The rig is fairly simple, you might find a few weird deformations if you stretch it.
Anyway, I hope you enjoy using this model for your projects.
Thank you for downloading :)

Looks Great! Liked
Thanks, glad you like it.
Your horse is beautiful, and your first and third renders are spectacular. I just love horses :-) I also like your website: I have looked at the photography section and I love your captions! Also the JavaScript is insightful and as a web application developer myself I really appreciate the programming articles :-)
I'm very glad you like it. And I didn't expect this to be about JavaScript but I'm very glad you enjoyed it. Your comment made my day :)
Wow! Wonderful blend!
Thank you :)
Great looking blend, and your site is interesting as implied above. Thanks for sharing ... :)
Thanks, I'm glad you like it :)
The environment in which this horse is placed, is that modelled to or is the image a composite of a blender horse onto a photograph. If that landscape is modelled is it within this file, it looks really good.
Hi, the landscape is part of the HDRI background. All I did was add a ground plane to capture the shadow on a different render layer and composited them together.
Well, it looks like golden horse... But it's still awesome!
Actually, the horse is blue! And thank you :)
LOL :-)
I like this horse, the scene is dynamic.
Thanks, glad you like it.
Thank you for this blend..
I'm glad you like it. I hope you make great things with it.
Wow Great Man, by sharing these you are making people employed & thus providing food !!!!
Haha ok. So did you use the horse on a cool project? feel free to share it with us.
How did you make the mane? I am having difficulties with the hair effects and cant find a youtube video to show me how
