Description
Model made for educational purposes to give a presentation at SeaBUG. Medium quality, I had to cheese some of the details a bit. I might work on it to make it better, but it served its purpose for me, have fun!

Thank you for the response-- I will agree with you on the normal mapping in the application of a game character for poly count purposes, which was actually a mention in my presentation so good call! I wanted to model more detail in the attachment points of things instead of cheating with simply intersecting them, but I did not have time. Have fun with him!
Whammy! TY for the feature!!!
;)
Great model, love the Dalek, that's some old school stuff right there.
Sadly I do not have the time to devote to him. :( I would love to see a version 2 of this handsome bloke, but I have too many other things currently going on. If I get a spark again someday I might, but feel free to modify him anyway you see fit!!! I am glad you like it! BTW What is you intended use that you need such a model?
MAN that would be SWEET! I know what you mean about the mesh, needs to be manifold. So as far as the small parts..they should be "DELETED" XD I hope you can make it work. Probably what needs to be done is apply all modifiers, and manually tie everything together...this would take some patience for sure.
Nice work. And thx for a greet upload.
OMG, the humanity is doomed! Nice model, thank you =)
would it be ok if i used this in a animation im making?
this is a bit of an old thread to jump on but I think the model is very good, using normal maps etc frankly is just a lazy cop out for creating a detailed 3d object. otherwise what is the point of creating a 3D element when the textures are flat.. and for those jumping in with the 'bump' it's still flat and doesn't light correctly if you want actual realism. I think your Dalek is pretty cool mate and considering i actually OWN a original BBC dalek i think its pretty spot on ( aside from the differences with standard plunger attachment etc) great work mate .
