Really nice work Jay, was looking through the topology and didn't really find anything I could nit-pick, which is rare. I wasn't able to render the scene. Would have taken days on my computer. All in all it looks like really top notch stuff, thanks for sharing.
Cheers for the possitive comments, I'm a pretty heavy critic on my own work, so haveing someone else give me feedback is always great - for me though, a model is never quite done, there's always something else to add, or maybe remove ;) Sorry the models can be a bit heavy for some, I have trouble with some things my self-never enough render power for any of us! I guess lower spec users can always turn down the subdivision modiffier to help in some cases. Personally if anyone else is reading this, I'd love to hear from anyone of any ability to find out what they intend to do with my models (or have done), even if it's just for test renders - I don't mind - I'm always interested ;) Cheers Matthew!
nice one! very british
Would it be more continental Boom if I included a shower? ;)
on my computer it rendered in about 27 min (didn't take note) 1000 passes in cycles
Is that good Wombat? If you reduce the subsurf levels for render time, it'll be a lot quicker. Taking out the plug and chains will also help a bit as there is a lot of detail in them, which for a distant render they're a bit pointless. I guess you may have been rendering with the CPU, luckily for me I've been using the GPU recently - Although I still find that the 1GB video memory limit is a pain - wish it could share the PC memory also! - Great for testing your lighting though before actually letting it burn for a few hours or more. ;)
Exactly what I need at this time... Please doesn't take this comment as it look ;-p
