Saturn 5 Launch Vehicle *Update 1*

Description

The SATURN C-5 Launch Vehicle, more commonly known as Saturn 5, was developed by North American Rockwell under the direction of Wernher von Braun for NASA's Marshall Space Flight Center.

NASA selected the SATURN family of booster as the primary launch vehicles for Apollo and in July 1969 a Saturn 5 launched from Cape Canaveral carried the crew of Apollo 11 to the first manned landing on the Moon.

The three boost stages are modeled separately along along with their respective inter-stage adapters allowing the vehicle to be rendered at any point in the launch profile.

The LEM (Lunar Lander) is NOT included.

*I plan to eventually do the LEM along with a high-res Command Module as a seperate project*

Scale:

Thank you, I made a point to keep the poly-count manageable so that it could be used in real-time renders or BGE.

Nice, but you forgot the textures. There's no folder and they don't appear to be packed.

Oops, sorry about that, I'll post an update once I'm back at my home computer.

When i first saw this model in my RSS reader i thought oh no, not another low-poly Saturn 5! but this model is breathtakingly beautiful. Hope that you get the LEM and other parts done in the same manner. Thank you!

Hello Hlynkacg! I downloaded your blend and I am using it in a short movie. How would you like to be attributed in the credits: as Hylnkacg or by some other name? Thanks@

Best Saturn I've run across so far. I read textures were added 2012 but I can't find them. Can you just post a link in this tread? Thanks!

anyway its very impressive model until you made a detail for the engine, but the disadvantage, there is no material, i think there's a problem when you upload it, so when i downloaded the blend, there's no material on the rocket, i hope you see my chat and hear the comments. Thanks! appreciate it!
