Description
this is a update of my previous audi r8. that was my first car so i thought that now i can make it better and realistic. this r8 is rigged for animation through the rar rig addon on an you tube video. it has materials from blenderartists forum of carrera gt and the rest of the things (mesh, model, lighting setup) are by me only.
ps. how is the model and the render? please comment

Pretty sick love it! Only two things I can say negative the honeycomb on the doors you forgot to parent to rest of the model and the tires I don't know they look kinda flat(texture wise). Anyway pretty cool.
damn and your only 12 years old :) weell done ;)
I'm truly impressed. Amazing considering short length of time using blender, and also your age. Think we're looking at future 'Mike Pan' here guys. Keep it up!!
Awesome! I can't believe a 12-year old did this! :D
hey guys i am13 years old now.
Anyhow... Good job :D
Love it, thanks.
The Picture Looks good. I look at home to your model. Your age are 13? Wow. What is you answer for my Audi-R8 model ? Greeting Neubi (Neubi3D) ;-)
hey neubi, yes your model is wonderful infact i did download it to have a good reference so that i could model the interiors but i left that out. anyway, thank you for the comment.
Fantastic modeling job! I've got some feedback for you which should help your modeling process: 1. Level of detail - Work out where you really need the detail, I noticed that you even modeled the L.E.Ds which is ok but not at 2048 polys at render time (x 4 subsurf). - The MAX subsurf (or turbo smooth in 3d max) should only go up to 3 for super-super organic looking humans. For your excellent modeling I only had to use just one subdiv in places. I generally use a subsurf of 2 to make it look smooth rarely 3. - Really nice work on the wheels, I'm very impressed. 2. Optimize for rendering There are some tips here that stray off topic but I thought they would be useful: - For this model I changed the lighting setup to mimic real life as much as possible and instead of your 3 point area light I set up an array of about 24 lights directly above the car to mimic studio lighting I then added a HDRI map to boost this. It was looking a little bit too sterile so I added a bounce light, like you did, but mine was a hemi light. - Why render things the camera can't see? Using your demo shot as an example you could actually delete the entire half of the car without anyone knowing and it would render much quicker as there is less stuff to process... Only works for stills though. As a last note, have you tried rendering this in yafaray or, if your up to it, Lux? I find the results are much cleaner than cycles; just a thought. So I really hope that didn't sound mean or anything because your work is fantastic (use it for your portfolio!)
very much thanks for the comment. i will surely use this in my upcoming upload. and yeah. i haven't tried yafaray or lux, i find them way more complicated and lux i don't know is not working properly . i isn't showing that materials window and there are no good tutorials to explain their installation and UI
Its not rigged!
uhm. sorry you may not see the rig by default. it's hidden. unhide(alt + h) it and you should see it.
