Description
A low-poly (562 verts) humanoid basemesh. It was made to help a friend out who was just starting with Blender to get into animation. Should be useful for sculpting, making a character or for any animation practice!

For rigging purposes its a very very bad idea to have the hands rotated like that
Would you suggest it is better to have them hang straight down by the sides then, or up in the 'T' shape?
Updated the blend so that they aren't twisted and simply hang :)
Everything looks to be in order except the arms and heads. You should work on the arm shape a little more, and the hands should be less detailed considering it is supposed to be very low poly. I think the thumb could also use an extra joint, though. Another method which I use often is to make the hands simple boxes for fists and never rig the fingers.
Thank you for the suggestions! Yes, I completely agree about the arms, they're a bit too straight, and probably do need some more shape. However the sole reason I made this was for a friend to practice some basic animation, so it wasn't at the front of my mind :P And the hands have that many loops because they needed to be able to open and clench, so they needed a couple of extra joints :) however I'd agree that the thumb may need and extra one too. What do you think I should change with the head?
cool, i am practing rigging with your model
Cool! Glad to hear it! :D Be sure to post your results! :)
Thanks for the really good model, I will use in my game but I will mention you in the credits. You are a great artist keep it up, sorry my english I am Brazilian and I used Google Translate
Thank you very much! I am glad you have found it useful! :D And don't worry - Google Translate seems to have worked! Your english is fine! :)
Oh! Once your game is done, please post a video about it here! I would love to see the results :D
Nice looking forward to where that game goes
Great mesh!
Awesome! Thanks.
I was about to use it in a game where screen is black and only audio is used... can I make a reference to it in a "readme" file or in the "audio credits"? Thanks indeed
Nice looking basic base, I am using it to help me visualize a scene in my book. I matched it up to the low poly horse mesh and turned it into a centaur, because I have one in that scene. You'd be surprised at how well they matched up. I'll be using the unaltered version too for the other statues and a few "ka-girled" versions once I rig and clean him up a bit. (a squished head?) Anyhow, I'll post a link on my deviant art http://insanexade.deviantart.com/
Thanx!
Thanks excellent
im going to use this to help me make my own body in a game thx
gracias!
Thanks for the model :) I'm going to practice animation in blender and later implementing it to unity3D.
thanks your model...
Sorry I haven't been replying guys! I've been inactive for a while, but thanks for all the kind comments! :) Feel free to use it in whatever you want providing you give me some credit somewhere. I'll try and upload some more stuff soon!
Awesome! Can I use this in a game?
Awesome model dude this will be great for my remake of Assassin's Creed (my remake is not public just for me) Just saying any way thanks.
Great model! I am working on a CG suit-pants piece of armor to overlay onto real footage, and needed a human model to shape the pants from, thanks for the quick guide!!
really awsm ...!!!
Awesome model
Thanks, using this as-is with ultra basic texture in a @torontogamejam (twitter), this weekend.
awesome! I'm using it for some size reference work I'm doing. Works great! Thanks!!
I will be using this model as a base for many different characters in the WIP demo of "Net Yaroze: City Vigilante". The game is expected to have PS1/PS2 graphics, so this'll do.
HAHAHA SO CUTE SO COOL MY G, I WISH YOU CAN DO MOE OF THIS
Going to fix this up a bit thanks Will give credit
Hi i used your character in my portfolio, i linked the Blendswap page and credited you. Is it ok if i keep it or do i have to take it down? https://sites.google.com/view/portfolio4/renders
thanksss
nope thisll work. Im trying to make some Halo like armour for a game and a i need a person i can't shape the armour around. thanks
How am I supposed to give credit for animation practice?
can you please add a texture map so its mapped out already so you have like the head the torso, legs etc
Tweedie. I want to use your mesh in an animation. The animation would give you credit for your model and I would not be making any money off of it. The animation is a fan animation for a game called "A dark room" I thought it would be a fun way of saying "thank you for the game" Is this ok with you?
Is this rigged?
thanks
hey great low poly human !, i want to add your modeling as my main character base for game, i will credits you in my game, thanks for the model
Nice! I'm new to this and just joined Blend Swap. I'll be sure to credit you :)

Nice, that's so awesome
Thank you so much for this model! It's perfect for some architectural plans I'm designing.

Grazie per il modello che userò per imparare a riggare.
Idk if you still check in here but thank you for making this available. I used your model in a project of mine to show scale: https://www.deviantart.com/mikmogus/art/Il-Duce-Italian-super-heavy-tank-1-0-856612267 I credited and linked back to you. Much appreciated.
